Paramore
Multi-platinum selling artist Paramore has unveiled details of their upcoming North American tour. The dates celebrate the release of their hugely anticipated new album, “PARAMORE,” due in stores and online on April 9th. The Grammy-nominated band will play The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, May 3. Joining them as the opening act will be LA-based, alt-rock group Kitten who has already garnered critical acclaim for their “Cut It Out” EP as well as their dynamic live show, and are currently finishing up their full length debut for Elektra Records. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.
Paramore’s first all-new release in more than three years, “PARAMORE” is heralded by the kinetic new single, “Now,” which can currently be heard on the band’s website. A companion video – directed by award-winning filmmaker/dancer Daniel Cloud Campos – is now in post-production with a premiere date slated for mid-February.
“PARAMORE” is also available now for pre-order with a variety of options including a limited bundle featuring a deluxe box set (which includes two colored 12” vinyl, a 7” vinyl featuring two exclusive b-sides, an 18”x24” exclusive poster & more), a hoodie, and a photo book highlighting the band’s time in the studio. All packages include an instant MP3 download of “Now.”
“PARAMORE” marks the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2009’s RIAA gold-certified “brand new eyes.” The album – Paramore’s fourth full-length studio recording – was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Justin Medal-Johnson, known for his work with such diverse artists as Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Tegan and Sara, and M83.
Paramore – singer Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor York – unveiled the album late last year via a personal blog announcement. “The whole making of this album was a rediscovering of ourselves as a band and as friends,” they wrote. “It was a process that allowed us the freedom to explore new territory artistically and to liberate ourselves as musicians, singers, as people! Sincerely, we feel that the best way to give it a name is just to call it what it is. This album is us.”
Tickets, starting at $35 (plus applicable service fees), will be available at the Hard Rock Hotel Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, online at Ticketmaster.com or charge-by-phone at 800.745.3000.
