Rise Against has announced a fall tour of North America. The punk rock band has had two sold out shows at The Joint and are returning to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for another show on Monday, October 1.

The fall tour will include performances in the state of Arizona, a place they have not been to since their July 14, 2009 performance at the Mesa Amphitheatre. Nearly two years ago Rise Against joined The Sound Strike, a coalition of Artists that have been committed to supporting the International Boycott of Arizona in the wake of the passage of the anti-immigration law SB 1070 and to raise awareness and opposition to the predatory and punitive treatment of immigrants in Arizona. Now that the ban has been lifted Rise Against will return to Arizona with performances in Flagstaff and Tempe during their North American fall tour (see below for all fall tour dates).

The Flagstaff show on September 27 www.firrp.orgat the Orpheum Theatre is a special evening to raise funds and awareness for the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project. 100% of the proceeds from this show will be donated to the Florence Project. For more information visit www.firrp.org.

Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Tim McIlrath, bassist Joe Principe, drummer Brandon Barnes and guitarist Zach Blair, Rise Against released its sixth studio album Endgame in March 2011 via DGC/Interscope. The album’s first single, “Help Is On The Way,” was inspired by McIlrath’s visit to New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil disaster. Rise Against’s previous efforts include Appeal to Reason (2008), The Sufferer and the Witness (2006) and Siren Song for the Counterculture (2004), which gave way to hits such as “Swing Life Away,” “Ready to Fall,” “Prayer of the Refugee” and “Savior.” Since the band’s launch more than a decade ago, Rise Against has accumulated three gold albums and several gold singles.

Rise Against released the Satellite digital EP in mid-April. Satellite is available exclusively at iTunes and includes the studio version of “Satellite” along with the video for the band’s third single off their sixth studio album Endgame. Additionally, live versions of “Savior” and “A Thousand Good Intentions” both recorded at the House of Blues in Boston are included on the EP.
