Las Vegas, NV(March 3, 2014) – Venerable sextet Widespread Panic recently announced dates for their highly anticipated 2014 Tour. Once again the tour will include a multi-date run in Las Vegas. Widespread Panic will return to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for three special engagements on July 2, 3 and 4. WP has been playing The Joint since 2010 and has continued to increase the number of shows each year due to the strong support in Vegas to see this incredible jam band. To make this a truly unique and memorable experience for the fans, the band will be joined by different special guests each night: Greensky Bluegrass (July 2), Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe (July 3) and Dirty Dozen Brass Band (July 4). Karl Denson and Dirty Dozen were both well received by fans at past Joint performances and this will be the first time that Greensky Bluegrass joins WP at The Joint. Widespread Panic has just released the 22nd and 23rd installments of their Porch Songs Live Archives Series.  The series, beloved by fans, picks up with the band near the tail-end of their 2000 Fall Tour with a two-night run in Memphis, TN at the Mid-South Coliseum.  Though the band has since returned to the venue three years running, this live recording marks their first visit.  Highlights include sit-ins from the brothers Dickinson, Luther and Cody, with song highlights including “Vacation”, “Sleeping Man” “Let It Rock” and “Aint’ Life Grand” encores.  For more information about the series please visit: http://widespreadpanic.com/archive

Widespread Panic (John Bell, Dave Schools, Todd Nance, John “Jojo” Hermann, Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz and Jimmy Herring) remain one of the top touring acts in the US, playing to packed arenas, amphitheatres and enthusiastic festival crowds all over the country. Fans continue to travel great distances to take part in the unique communal live experiences, which have grown into legendary status. 

Widespread Panic is a legendary national touring force and continues to break attendance records in major venues across the country. Never losing sight of giving back, the band continues to organize “food drive events” at their concerts. Since 2008, Panic’s fans have helped raise over $73,000 in monetary donations and over 9,100 pounds of food. The band also recently hosted their annual Tunes For Tots benefit at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. To date, the band has raised well over one million dollars for Tunes For Tots, a program that helps public school music programs by fulfilling their instrument and equipment needs.
