Dream Team Poker™ Debut Tournament Sold Out at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Nov. 7-9
Las Vegas, NV, Nov. 5, 2008 – With less than one week left, all teams are sold out for the debut tournament of Dream Team Poker™ taking place inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Poker Lounge Nov. 7-9.
"We are very pleased with the huge response of players wanting to participate in our debut poker tournament,” said Daniel Delshad, CEO and co-founder of Dream Team Gaming. “Our goal was to create a new player development tournament. Now that we’ve secured all teams, including many players who normally wouldn’t play in tournaments, along with some of the world’s top poker professionals, we look forward to expanding our concept into other markets nationwide.”
Celebrity world poker champions participating in the tournament include: Jamie Gold, philanthropist and 2006 World Series of Poker Main event champion; David Benyamine, 2008 World Series of poker bracelet winner who currently ranks third in player of the year standings; Erica Schoenberg, who participated on the show, Poker After Dark and nicknamed “Poker Babe”; David Daneshgar, 2008 World Series of Poker bracelet winner; Kenny Tran, 2008 World Series of Poker bracelet winner; Jean Robert Bellande, who participated on the CBS reality TV series Survivor: China and is a promoter and poker player better known as “Action Bob” for his fast play and vigorous personality; professional poker players Roy “the Oracle” Winston and Chris Bigler; Actor Mekhi Phifer of NBC’s medical drama ER; E! Daily 10 host Sal Masekela; Holly Montag of MTV’s The Hills; former NBA star Chris Mills; Actor Yancey Arias from NBC’s Knight Rider; and Writer and Producer Sam Simon of The Simpsons.
The debut tournament of Dream Team Poker™ consists of 25 teams, each comprised of three players. At $3,000 a team ($1,000 per player), each player will receive the following VIP package: special room rate at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, VIP check-in and welcome gift package, private Friday night welcome party inside the Hard Rock Penthouse, Saturday night party at Body English, late Sunday check-out and a trophy ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 9.
