After nearly 40 sold out shows on three continents since Fall, 2009, alternative rockers Pixies are bringing The Doolittle Tour back to the U.S.A. The 11-city trek will extend the 20th anniversary celebration of the release of the band's classic 1989 album, Doolittle. The tour will make a stop at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, September 25.

On this tour, Pixies - Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering - will perform all of the songs from Doolittle and its related B-sides, "Weird at My School," "Dancing the Manta Ray," and "Bailey's Walk" among them. Doolittle, the band's third album and the first to chart on Billboard's album charts, includes classics such as "Debaser," "Wave of Mutilation," "Here Comes Your Man," "Hey," and "Gouge Away."

An imaginative cinematic production has been created for The Doolittle Tour. Designed by long-time Pixies lighting designer Myles Mangino and designer Paul Normandale, the set features four huge, undulating, eyeball-like spheres flown just below the lighting rig and are part of the concert's light show. Filmmakers Judy Jacobs, Tom Winkler, Brent Felix and Melinda Tupling were brought on board to create 11 films especially for the production. The films are projected onto a massive backdrop video screen to accompany 12 of the 21 songs that comprise the show.

Band of Horses will play The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Monday, September 27. Infinite Arms, Band of Horses’ third full length LP and first for Brown/Fat Possum/Columbia, sold over 45,000 records in the week following its release, debuting at #7 on the U.S. album chart. Infinite Arms also debuted #2 in Norway, top 10 in Canada, top 20 in Australia and New Zealand, making an impressive international showing overall.

The band’s career chart high to date comes in the wake of a North American tour supporting Pearl Jam, during which BOH’s Ben Bridwell joined the headliners for multiple encores of “All Along The Watchtower” as well as a climactic and rarely played version of Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike” at Madison Square Garden. Band of Horses has been anything but inactive since wrapping those dates, appearing May 27 on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, days after sneaking in a stripped down acoustic set at the Masonic Lodge at L.A.’s Hollywood Forever cemetery. The band has also knocked out electric sets from the Roxy to Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern, and filmed a video for the single “Laredo” with Mark Pellington in Pioneertown CA—where they fit in an impromptu May 23 set at Pappy & Harriet’s.

Additionally, Band of Horses contributed “Life On Earth” to the upcoming Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack, and will be adding a leg of July dates to a globe-spanning 2010 tour that will include some of its biggest headlining shows to date from New York’s Williamsburg Waterfront to the Greek Theaters of Los Angeles and Berkeley.

Multi-award winning music legend, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Van Morrison will return to Las Vegas this fall. Van’s 2009 sold-out Joint show was a night to remember for fans and now he’s bringing The Historical Show of a Lifetime to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Sunday, October 3. Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon.

N.E.R.D will perform live at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, Oct. 15. The concert is part of the Dew Tour Championships, a four-day event culminating the 2010 Dew Tour season and featuring the best skateboard, BMX and freestyle motocross athletes in the world including Shaun White, Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, Dave Mirra and many more.

Rock / funk / hip hop group N.E.R.D is made up of childhood friends Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley, with a recent addition of Rhea to the group in late 2009. Williams and Hugo originally started as the three-time Grammy-winning production duo The Neptunes, who produced hits for artists such as Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z. They duo created N.E.R.D in 2001 as a side project. Fast forward three albums later – In Search Of…(2002), Fly or Die (2004) and Seeing Sounds (2005) – that contained hit songs like “Lapdance,” “She Wants to Move,” and “Everyone Nose,” N.E.R.D has set the bar high for the much anticipated release of their fourth album, Nothing, in September 2010.

World-famous Body English Nightclub will open its doors for a special event with deadmau5. For his upcoming tour throughout the U.S. and Canada, Body English will be resurrected for one night for his special “Unhooked” show.

The Canadian artist is known for his progressive and electro house music including “Arguru” and “Not Exactly,” as well as his major smash singles “Ghosts N Stuff” and “I Remember”. On September 12, deadmau5 will serve as the house artist for the MTV “2010 Video Music Awards.”

This fall, Alice In Chains will be joined by special guests Deftones and Mastodon on BLACKDIAMONDSKYE, a monolithic triple bill that is guaranteed to be the hottest ticket of the fall touring season. DEFTONES, one of the most enduring and influential forces in modern rock, released on May 4th their long–awaited new album Diamond Eyes. The 6th full-length studio effort by the Grammy-winning, platinum-certified group was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Coheed & Cambria, Foo Fighters). The band recorded the album after their best friend and bassist Chi Cheng sustained a debilitating brain injury from a car accident in November of 2008. “After Chi’s accident, it would have been easy for us to make a sad record,” says singer and guitarist Chino Moreno. “But really, this is an optimistic record.” MySpace.com recently premiered a brand-new video for lead single “Diamond Eyes,” which was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon, B-52’s). Indie rockers Interpol are touring in support of their fourth album this fall and will be making a stop at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, October 22. Interpol performed two high-energy shows in the old Joint and fans have been awaiting their return for another great performance in the new venue. Opening up for Interpol will be special guest White Rabbits. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at noon.

The long-awaited self-titled fourth album from New York’s Interpol finds them exploring dark musical landscapes of layered depth and intensity. In contrast to 2007’s ‘Our Love To Admire,’ this self-titled opus hangs together as an album, a set of very different songs that thematically connect. From the highly melodic “Barricade” and “Lights” through the snarling “Memory Serves” and the extraordinary triptych of connected tracks that close the album, Interpol have never made work this emotionally resonant or packed with crescendos.

Mixer Alan Moulder has brought the rhythm section back to the fore, anchoring a thicket of orchestral sound that brings to mind touch- stones from black metal to ‘70s art rock, but always remains identifiably Interpol. Hypnotic, bizarre, always indelible, ‘Interpol’ is the band’s magnum opus.

Now a core trio made up of Paul Banks (vocals, guitar), Daniel Kessler (guitar) and Sam Fogarino (drums), Interpol are bolstered live with the addition of Dave Pajo (Slint, Papa M, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) on bass and Secret Machines’ Brandon Curtis on keyboards.

Widespread Panic has announced dates for their much-anticipated fall tour. The tour will make a stop in Las Vegas and they will be joined by special guest Gov’t Mule. Widespread Panic will play The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Following the release of their acclaimed album Dirty Side Down (career high Billboard chart debut), Widespread Panic and ATO Records will release the two-disc / three-vinyl set Live In The Classic City II on Sept. 28. These recordings are significant because they are the first time Widespread Panic asked their fans, who are regularly permitted to record and circulate live performances, to refrain from recording these particular shows.

Live In The Classic City II includes special guests Mike Mills (R.E.M.), percussionist Arvin Scott, producer John Keane as well as vocalists Daniel Hutchens and Anne Richmond Boston. Chosen from the same set of dates, Live In The Classic City I was released in 2002 and went on to sell over 100,000 copies. The collection featured special guests such as Bill Berry (R.E.M.), Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones), Randall Bramblett (Traffic, Steve Winwood), Col. Bruce Hampton, and Derek Trucks (Allman Brothers).

The 15th Annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball takes over Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. Named “one of the top 10 events in the world” by Travel Channel and “one of the five events to attend before you die” by Maxim Magazine, the 2010 Fetish & Fantasy Ball is sure to be one of the hottest parties of the year. The adult Halloween Ball features live performances and the most outrageous costumes seen anywhere in Las Vegas.

Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball takes place in three venues inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino including Dante’s Inferno (The Joint), Erotic Playground (Muse Ballroom) and Banger Grotto (Artists Hall) to allow for more entertainment and room to experience the ultimate Halloween bash. This year’s event offers a variety of ticket levels including general admission, late admission (after 1am), VIP and after hours party (after 4am).

Comprised of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia takes over The Joint with electrifying sounds and energetic beats. Initially teaming up as DJs, the trio recently signed a major-label recording contract and released its first single “One,” also known as “One (Your Name),” featuring Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes. The group’s debut track became an instant summer anthem and “Top Ten” hit in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Netherlands and Belgium. The one-night-only event concludes Hard Rock’s holiday festivities and encourages concert goers to dress in their best Halloween attire.

Grammy nominated recording artist Drake will hit the road this fall for The Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour. Drake with special guest Clipse will perform at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Nov. 6.

Drake released his debut album Thank Me Later in June 2010. His single, “Find Your Love”, is available on iTunes and the Anthony Mandler directed music video, starring dancehall artist Movado, is in rotation on all MTV outlets. Thank Me Later, the debut album from the Aspire/ Young Money/ Cash Money recording artist debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. With guest appearances from Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy and mentor Lil Wayne among others, Thank Me Later was the most highly anticipated and buzzed about debut release this year.

Los Angeles-based rockers Lifehouse kick off their fall tour with special guests Kris Allen and Alyssa Bernal. The band is touring in support of their fifth studio album Smoke & Mirrors, which debuted at # 6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, their highest chart debut of their ten year career. The tour will make a stop at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, Nov. 19.

The second single “All In” is a top 15 hit at Hot AC radio and the video for the track showcases the band in all their rock glory on stage during their tour with Daughtry.

With Smoke & Mirrors, lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Wade, drummer Ricky Woolstenhulme Jr., bassist Bryce Soderberg, producer Jude Cole, and live guitarist Ben Carey have created a set that combines their live sound with great record making. Songs like “Smoke & Mirrors,” “Wrecking Ball” and “Had Enough" display a raw and stage driven feel that captures a live, rock side of the band. “All In,” “Here Tomorrow Gone Today” and “Halfway Gone” are songs sure to be heard on radio for years to come.

The Black Crowes kick off a four-month North American tour on Aug. 13, after which Chris Robinson (vocals/guitar), Rich Robinson (guitar), Steve Gorman (drums), Sven Pipien (bass), Luther Dickinson (guitar) and Adam McDougall (keyboards) will go on a lengthy hiatus to catch their collective breaths and spend time with their families.
