Stand-up comedian, actor and producer MikeEpps brings his unparalleled humor to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 25 at 10 a.m.
Epps has been a comedy mainstay since breaking onto the scene in 1995. Epps was first recognized by a national audience after appearing on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” He is best known for starring roles in hit films and TV shows such as “The Hangover” franchise, the “Resident Evil” franchise, “Survivor’s Remorse,” “Open Season 2,” “Hancock,” “Lottery Ticket,” “Dr. Dolittle 2,” “Death Wish” and many more.
In 2016, Epps won “Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards for his work on the critically acclaimed STARZ series “Survivor’s Remorse.” He won the award for his portrayal of Uncle Julius. The series was produced by NBA superstar LeBron James.
Earlier this year, Epps took on the challenging new role as author after releasing his memoir, “Unsuccessful Thug: One Comedian’s Journey from Naptown to Tinseltown.” The memoir follows Epps’ early life in Indiana to his rise to stardom in Hollywood.
Currently, Epps has teamed up with fellow comedian Katt Williams to create “The House Next Door;” a sequel to Epps’ 2016 horror comedy film “Meet the Blacks.”
Later this year, Epps will star as infamous comedian Richard Pryor in the upcoming film, “Pryor,” featuring an all-star cast including Oprah Winfrey, Eddie Murphy and Kate Hudson.
