MORE THAN A DOZEN EVENTS TO CELEBRATE THE LAUNCH OF
THE 2011 SWIMSUIT FRANCHISE

Ne-Yo To Perform at Club SI Swimsuit
NEW YORK, NY (February 9, 2011) – Sports Illustrated and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) will celebrate the launch of the legendary 2011 Swimsuit Franchise with more than a dozen events in the “Entertainment Capital of the World” on February 16th and 17th featuring the 2011 Swimsuit models. 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit content will launch on February 15th.
“Swimsuit is an iconic American franchise that reaches more than 60 million people each year,” said Mark Ford, President of the Time Inc. Sports Group. “There is no city except Las Vegas that could host the 72-hour launch party this iconic brand deserves.”
This is the second year of a three-year partnership between the LVCVA and The Sports Illustrated Group to have the LVCVA serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the annual Swimsuit launch week. The result of the partnership is a slate of collaboratively planned events and experiential marketing activities that will bring the Swimsuit franchise to life though out the city.

Joining the LVCVA as Launch Week partners are the hotel and venue partners including Pranna in New York City. In Las Vegas, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is the official partner hotel for SI Swimsuit 2011. Marquee events featuring the 2011 Swimsuit models will be held at LAX Nightclub at The Luxor Hotel and Casino; Vanity inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; and PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace.
SI Swimsuit Launch Party hosted by Pranna in New York City: A party for VIP guests to be attended by the 2011 Swimsuit models prior to jetting off to Las Vegas. Party begins at 5:00 p.m. on February 15th.
SI Swimsuit on Location hosted by LAX Nightclub at Luxor Hotel and Casino: The SI Swimsuit launch week event will feature the 2011 Swimsuit models and bring to life the exotic destinations that served as settings for model shoots. Party begins 9:00 p.m. on February 16th.
Club SI Swimsuit hosted by Vanity inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino: This annual event features a main stage reveal of the 2011 Swimsuit models, and a super powered performance from Grammy-Award winner Ne-Yo. Party begins at 9:00 p.m. on February 17th.
SI Swimsuit Overtime hosted by PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace: This by-invitation-only event is the final celebrate of Swimsuit launch week in Las Vegas. Party begins at midnight on February 18th.
In addition, select Swimsuit models will make appearances at locations throughout the city during launch week, including renaming a part of Las Vegas Boulevard at the heart of The Strip, “Swimsuit Boulevard.” Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will preside over the ceremonial renaming. Models appearing in the 2011 issue will be appearing throughout Las Vegas on February 16th and 17th, signing autographs and getting a taste of the world-class Las Vegas entertainment offerings. Wednesday, February 16Noon - 2:00 pm PT DINING WITH SI SWIMSUIT
SI Swimsuit Lunch at STK at The Cosmopolitan. A DJ will spin while fans taste some of the steakhouse’s signature dishes and meet 2011 SI Swimsuit models.
3:00 – 5:00 pm PT JABBAWOCKEEZ & THE SI SWIMSUIT MODELS
2011 SI Swimsuit models will be at Diablo’s Mexican Cantina at Monte Carlo for photos and autographs and a performance by the Jabbawockeez.
Thursday, February 17Noon - 2:00 pm PT SWIMSUIT TALKS: FASHION & BEAUTY
Fashion Show will host a fashion & beauty roundtable with SI Swimsuit models and editors, followed by autographs and photos with fans.
1:00 - 3:00 pm PT SWIMSUIT AT HARD ROCK
Models will be in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Hard Rock Store to sign autographs and pose for complimentary photos with fans.
3:00 – 5:00 pm PT MEET & GREET WITH HUMAN NATURE AND THE SI SWIMSUIT MODELS
Swimsuit arrives at Caesars Palace for a Human Nature performance, along with autographs with fans in front of Rao’s.
